I Brief Introduction

CW1108 stepping motor driver is updated driver on the basis of assimilating new type and high-speed electronics technology with adoption of advanced technology possessing low noise, high efficiency, wide voltage range and agile collocation, while stable running and accurate orientation are obvious characteristics of this driver. In addition, this driver has one complete set of protections and phase-cutting function.

II Application and Instruction of Driver

* Connection of Input Power Supply: adopt one group of AC power supply, AC connects to 110V ~ 220V. Notice: insulated power supply is recommended to adopt; or driver should be well connected to motor grounding.

Motor Connection:

Two-phase four-wire motor, connect to driver directly

Four-phase six-wire motor, two wires in middle do not connect to any one, other four wires are connected to driver

Four-phase eight-wire motor, two-two parallel connection then connect to driver (drawing2)

Alarm: motor wire should not be connected wrongly or driver will be damaged

Input Signal Connection:

Alarm: there should be enough current for input signal (generally speaking, TTL and COMS signal can not be connected to driver directly), or system can not work reliably.

Signal Light:

CP is impulse signal. FLT is malfunction signal (glitter with fixed frequency means current passes, glitter with frequency conversion means that there is malfunction from blower fan), now RDY is opened.

Current limit resistance is connected outside: current of signal at positive and negative terminal should be from 8 to 15mA, width of negative and positive signal should not be too high or too low. While current limit resistance should be connected outside if it is too high. See following table1:

CW: direction, input terminal of electric level signal, positive and negative rotation of control motor of high and low electric level, stable period of signal level is higher than 0.5us.

FREE: OFFLINE electric level (effective under low level), when input control is under low state, excitation current of motor will be cut off, motor is under free state .

CP: input stepping impulse signal, effective edge lowering, max feedback frequency reaches 1000KHz, stable period of signal level should not be less than 0.5us.

Phase-current and subdivision setting:

CW1108 type subdivided driver adopts DIP switch regulation to set phase current and subdivision, thereinto 5 is semi-current potential energy (ON means it is not potential energy, OOF means it is potential energy), 6 is to set one or twin-impulse (ON means it is one impulse; CP means direction is CW; OFF means twin-impulse; positive direction is CP, reversed direction is CW). See table 2 and table 3 for details. Step angle of motor after subdivision setting is value of whole step angle divides subdivision. For instance: if subdivision is 18, to drive two-phase motor with 0.9°/1.8°, thus the subdivision step angle is 1.8°/ 18=0.1°
